davidmalmolevine:
Check out this story of early NIDA research:[link]

Ian:
Smoking plant material is bad for your health. How can Health Canada justify endangering (already sick) people's lives?

Cyberguerrilla:
Another great show guys!! Keep up the excellent work!

Hagbard:
Ian, there is a smoking apperatus called a vaporizer that eleminates carcinogens and all "ill effects". Research the topic before you smatted your net feces on this web post.

l0ngb0ng:
If anyone thinks SMOKING is the only way to use cannabis, you are one ignorant shit. I prefer to cook my cannabis into food, or vaporize in the morning. -- rjp@GanjaNet.Org - GardenCam: [link]

davidmalmolevine:
Ian, not all smoke is bad. Mullein, Kinickinick, coltsfoot and many other herbs have been used by Native peoples of all lands as expectorants. Only chemically-fertilized tobacco is associated with massive lung cancer mortalitiy levels.

Sponge Bob Weedy bags:
Ok now we have proof its CORPRATE(b4)GOVERMENT so now the gov. is now giving seeds and stems to patiance.A Quote"No stems,no seeds no stiks , just that sticky icky, oooo whheee"-snoop doggy dog.

Ian:
Boys you're smoking too much. The trials are not using vaporizers right? And burning plant material creates benziene and friends, dml I know you know better

Ian:
I should make it clear, my inital point was that they should be using the most potent pot they can, so people aren't smoking more then they have to. I'm on our side ;)

remmy:
excellent work gentlemen, keep it up

davidmalmolevine:
Ian: "Nonetheless, Po210 is the only component in cigarette smoke tar that has produced cancers by itself in laboratory animals as a result of inhalation exposure." [link]

Dave's home:
Just as in the purity of drinking water, the purity of herb smoke depends mostly on the source, in other words what contaminants are present make the difference between good and/or bad. Good water is free of crap and good herb is free of twigs and seeds.

Redeye Burnsting 8*)_~:
U guys r great I love how Chris is always burning the sacred herb. smoking hosts is one of my favorite elements of pot tv. may your bongs runneth over!

abbrawow:
i would go talk to my mla or mp but i'm not allowed to be one mile from them ,some cour order thinggii..

Heads Up, David:
C'mon man, radioactivity is the only reason why tobacco is a carcinogen? You don't expect me to smoke that, do you? Sinse you are so scientific, check out the chemical "nicotine," an acute toxin, mutagen, and teratogen. You discredit yourself like NIDA.

Another heads up:
Why don't you crusade against carcinogenic nitrosamines like you do P32? Run around and scream at people not to grow nug. "Organic" fertilizers have insoluble nitrogen, impossible to remove, and cancer causing. You preach like a narc.

davidmalmolevine:
We firmly believe that the role of alpha radiation in tobacco related carcinogenesis deserves further study. [link]

davidmalmolevine:
US Surgeon General C Everett Koop stated on national television in 1990 that tobacco radiation is probably responsible for 90% of tobacco-related cancer. [link]

davidmalmolevine:
Researchers have induced cancer in animal test subjects that inhaled polonium 210, but were unable to cause cancer through the inhalation of any of the non-radioactive chemical carcinogens found in tobacco.[link]

Smoke this DML:
Tobacco Carcinogens [link]

More you say?:
Nicotine as carcinogen [link]

Prove a point:
Nitrosamine Carcinogen [link]

davidmalmolevine:
Is there anything in the links provided that would suggest we should not first study the relationship between radioactive chemical fertilizers and lung cancer? Many experts feel radiation is primary culprit....what's your resistance to that approach?

Matthew Johnson:
Ian, keep in mind that cannabinoids are potent antioxidents and have an anti-inflamatory effect, which may be one reason marijuana-only smokers don't develope lung cancer like tobacco smokers.

Matthew Johnson:
Ian, I see nothing in those abstracts that *necessarily* contradicts DML's point. Sure, there are carcinogens in there, but their effect may be tiny compared to the radioactive components DML speaks of.

Matthew Johnson:
What you have to do is see which of these accounts for more of the variance in the naturalistic data on human lung cancer. For example, oxygen itself is a carcinogen. You can show this in-vitro but it doesn't mean that o2 account for all cancer cases.

ryan:
whats up with that damn beard david. You look like grizly Adams.

Ian:
Let's not pretend cancer is the only problem associated with smoke inhalation.

davidmalmolevine:
Ian: Let's not pretend that the Native North American Indians have been using coltsfoot, kinickinick, mullien for thousands of years - effectively - as smoked herbal medicine. Do you know what a smoked herbal expectorant is? "Mullein" + google.com = %)

davidmalmolevine:
Ryan: I'm too busy to neotonize myself.....and besides......us grizzly adams types are constantly beset upon by hot earth-mamas. Dynamics is my asthetic....I'll be even more different soon.

Firius:
How can ya do a study on marijuana if your givin something that is not marijuana?

Whatzup:
Why don't we test the NIDA weed and look for the missing chemicals or additives?

Heads Up watches the show:
Enough shit talkin, more support and admiration! The entire, "Direct Action," concept is right on. The criticism of NIDA by DML and CB is AOK! Stick it to my government thoroughly! I am behind you 100%, even if I disagree with you 5% of the time!

HobbyMoralisten:
All in all u're almost fagots - QUOTSA - "All in all" (FooFighters) greets from Norway ;)

HobbyMoralisten:
Uf cuzz. "All my life" greetz

HobbyMoralisten:
Zoorryyy... spidah!

Buds Mo King:
Maybe its just cause im stuck behin the cannabis curtain but i find it very unsettling that David wastes the Great Herb by blowing smoke rings...

davidmalmolevine:
Hey.....most of it goes up my nose, where the active ingredients are rapidly absorbed....all that "hold it in for as long as you can" is a myth, supposedly.

Matthew Johnston:
Good job, Chris and David.

Delta9tetr:
DML, blow smoke rings, man.
