MARC EMERY COMMENTARY

TEEN'S SUICIDE LINKED TO HOCKEY SUSPENSION FOR POT
The coroner's service is investigating the suicide of a 15-year-old hockey player -- apparently after he was told he was being suspended by his team for possessing marijuana.

LIGHTS GO ON FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA GROWER
Brian Carlisle got his grow-lights returned yesterday, but not the marijuana plants seized earlier this year by Hope RCMP officers.

MEDICINAL-POT ADVOCATE LIGHTS UP
American medicinal-pot advocate Steve Kubby and his wife Michele were told by a judge that they'll be getting their grow-op back and medical marijuana after marijuana charges against them were stayed.

MARC EMERY COMMENTARY:
Tragic suicide by teen is a loss and a lesson to everyone that Prohibition causes far more harm than good.

STEVE YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SHOW. THERE IS AN OVERLAP IN THE AUDIO WHEN MICHELE NEEDS HELP IN THE INTERVIEW WITH MARC. ALSO SHE SHOULD ALWAYS WEAR HER HAIR LIKE THAT. LOOKS REAL PRETTY.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! This is the time of year when we remember the early settlers growing pot for the government, and maybe smoking a little of it when they feast with the natives at outdoor banquets somewhere back on the east coast.

Congratulations on Court Victory! We were worried. Thank God you guys weren't sentenced to a year on a Hockey Team! Now that would really be depressing eh? ;-) We sure hope everyone just lightens up like Sheryl Crow says. Kids have way too much pressure.

Sports, the real Opiate of the Masses! Sudden Endorphin Withdrawl Syndrome SEWS can be extremely serious receptor & neurotransmitter collapse. Plus, sports injures and kills so many kids it's a catastrophic epidemic!

It is a sad outcome for the Hocky youth. I hope that further investigation into this incident reveals additional circumstances. It would be bad to just leave it as just another drug related death. (the first of this type?) - Thanks for being there.

Cannabis has never caused suicidal behavior. Many drugs do affect the chemical balabalances in the brain related to depression, (among other detrimental side effects) like isotretinoin, (Accutane) a synthetic derivative of vitamin A to treat acne.

I'm absolutely devastated by the suicide story. It is so terribly sad. I can't imagine the unbearable pain his parents must now be experiencing. The loss of a child is devastating for any reason, but suicide...over such a small thing as pot. Truly tragic.

To the fam of the young man that took his life, I understand your pain, I also lost a only brother to suicide. Dont believe people that tell you all suicides go to hell, its a sickness like cancer, and it cant be helped, you will see your boy again, AMEN.
