great orator? let's get some perspective here. sanctimonius certainly but a great orator? i think not.. some of us are just trying to put food on the table, we can't afford to send our kids to private schools, but I don't need to be judged and yelled at.

Yes, women do rule the world. (just ask my wife ;-}. I loved the talking heads effect of the cover of the S.F. paper. What a powerful story. Good luck, Ed! .. Lead us to a peaceful resolution and Bastille Day for Cannabis.

Steve, great point about the twin studies. It is just further confirmation that the Gateway Theory of "drug" addiction is, in fact, a self fulfilling prophecy perpetuated (ironically) by the people most upset about it. great show, btw.

Come on guys... Marijuana paraphenalia has no place in our schools. You basically just said its okay for kids to be smoking pot. And I'm sorry.. its not okay. Sure they will be smoking anyway, but when you allow them to construct bongs on school time...
[Reply to This]

Xabbu: on Friday January 24 @7:37AM
...its no more different then saying its okay to smoke or drink. Your blindly running through this with one focus.. POT SHOULD BE LEGAL! it should.. but at what cost?

Xabbu, kids who first learn ceramics are usually told to make ashtrays for their parents. Double standard anyone? How many ashtrays have been made in high school ceramics? MILLIONS
[Reply to This]

ex: on Friday January 24 @8:52AM
Xabbu, you said yourself that kids will smoke pot anyway, so why not have them use their stonedness in more productive ways, like art? You are pretty close-minded, man. And btw, smoking marijuana is okay at any age, in moderation. That's the thing :)

Home schooling? Gee, how freaking wonderful? Most people haev trouble making ends meet but hey, if you love your kids, youll go on welfare right? maybe ill quit my job and grow some pot and support the kids that way...brilliant
[Reply to This]

Xabbu: on Friday January 24 @9:25AM
They don't really allow ashtrays now either... I wasn't allowed to make one in ceramics when I was in highschool (10 years ago). I can't see that changing. Thus, I see no double standard.
[Reply to This]

Xabbu: on Friday January 24 @9:26AM
Ex: I don't think I'm close minded at all... creativity doesn't only manifest itself in paraphenalia. There are many different ways you can express yourself on the taxpayers dime. Making it easier for a niner to get stoned only condones it.
[Reply to This]

Xabbu: on Friday January 24 @9:29AM
...we don't need to be condoning any type of behavior. Lets face it guys... pot smoking isn't 100% inert. It does have social and physical health ramifications... Me thinks I detect a little bit of tunnel vision amongst the legalization movement.

Apparently minds are made up.. thats fine.. too bad the moral majority sees _US_ as exactly as you portray pot smokers. Not all of us think our kids should be focussing their creative energy at school on Marijuana just because we are avid smokers.
