Although Murphy is widely celebrated for her accomplishments, little attention is drawn to the fact Emily Murphy was a White Supremicist and she helped to create many of the marijuana and other drug laws with hateful racial propaganda, and being a Nazi-like Eugenecist she advocated sterilization in Canada based on her racial biases.
