Description: A Boulder city councilman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, the city announced Tuesday.

Richard Polk, 57, was stopped Monday night near the Pearl Street Mall. Polk was driving a green Honda Element at the time.

Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and found a wooden pipe, and 2.1 grams of suspected marijuana, the city said in a statement.
