This episode pissed me off. It nicely showcased what DEA brainwashing does tho. Buddy asks Mr. "I know every fucking thing in the universe" dude what ibogaine is, dude drops a little bit of trivia then goes on about how it's ability to cure addiction is just some crappy side affect while trying to get hopelessly doped up being the true and only acknowledgable reason for using it.
A little later on some poor recovery centre worker is trying to explain to Mr. Stick up my ass the amazing potential the plant has, and he just starts regurgitating what he heard earlier... "it's a drug right, just another way to get high", or some crap like that.
Long story short, they made a couple quick statements on the theraputic use of ibogaine, then pretty much spent the rest of the show demonizing it. The shit thing is, a lot of people actually buy all the "science" on the show as 100% legit and accurate, and now who knows how many people are going to be against it before it has a chance to prove itself to the world?
Muh, my thoughts anyway, sorry to rant.
