This is how I felt the first time I logged onto pot tv and found nudity and questionable content with the tokers bowl, the Viper chic and the Sparka show. I said the exact same thing you said about this woman.
You said - "I was infuriated by this....you know the problem with our movement is that always we've been characterized by our opponents as flakey people, hippies, unreliable pot heads who won't get a job. People who give out brochures saying they're running as the marijuana party candidate (and yes o by the way im a dominatrix here's my promotional material) while they're pretty well nearly naked makes a very uncomfortable setting to campaign seriously. and I am very very ashamed that these people are put forward to represent our movement. We need people who look slick, sophisticated and serious...credible and and uh and down to earth. The kind of people that other canadians can relate to visually in the first moment. They should be able to look at you and say, there's a person I would gladly leave my kids with for 24 hours and I can trust them. That's what credability is, that's what trust is, that's what being confident in someone is...when someone's naked with pierced nipples on parliment hill, saying that they're a dominatrix who wants to represent you in parliment, they're gonna give a very bad impression of our movement."
I don't mean to stir the pot, but were you not telling people to go to Pot Tv on the cards you were handing out? Pot Tv has nudity and content that undeniably brings us two steps backwards...using your logic.
So, just like I had to learn not to show Pot Tv to people I was trying to inform on the issue, you should just not look at her if it offends you. OR, you should apply the logic in your rant to the content on Pot Tv so when others want to inform the uninformed, it comes across slick, sophisticated, serious,credible and down to earth. And we would want to leave our kids watching pot tv for 24 hours.
You know I love ya man....but I was shot down in flames on this forum when I said the exact same comments about the nudity and sparka content as you did about this woman. I agree with you 100% and can 100% accept the oposite because it's free country....but if we're gonna rant about it, we have to keep it uniform across the board..no? discuss this show in the CC forums >
