welcome back to school. i have missed you.
to coincide with the first day back in class CBC NEWSWORLD is re-broadcasting the pesky and perspicacious >play special on marijuana. quite an event. stoners redux! as i like to call it.
>PLAY GOES TO POT caused a stir the first time it aired in late June. big numbers too. i remember my EXECUTIVE PRODUCER saying something like, you ve finally done something that people care about. i was so happy. and confused. and carefree. but we ended the last season on a high. and we ve decided to begin the new one with similar effervescence.
it will air tonight at 10pm ET. tune in and see what i was like as a younger mammal. asking questions and trying to understand the demon weed. back in the spring. when i was young. and carefree. and probing. and going up in smoke.
whether you are of the pot persuasion or not. you might ponder a perusal of the >play party tonight.
in the meantime, i will re-appear on your screen soon to give more news about the next >play project.

I didn't learn anything new, but this show indicates something wonderful. It portrayed cannabis in a positive light and was largely pro-legalization. When a mainstream media outlet does this, it shows that you are winning. You probably still have a lot of work to do, but the momentum is on your side. The US government would have to start playing very dirty to win at this point, which would be risky for them. The current US administration has a lot of other things to worry about at this point, so I don't think that Canada's relationship with cannabis will be a high priority. I think that you guys can win.
Be careful though. Many of your politicians are more than ready to sell you out. Don't think that just because you're largely white that America won't institute a campaign of dirty tricks. They did it in Australia too. discuss this show in the CC forums >
