Although I am down for focussing the movement and a more active sort of resistance to the oppressors, and I think that a church may be a good idea (but it needs to be handled right), any form of militirization makes me nervous, and i just can't ever see myself decking out in camaflouge gear in my role as a pot activist.
Peaceful non-violent resistance and the spread of information that is our ticket to freedom.... I predict Marc's current religious fervor well tone down into something far more tasteful and acceptable to the masses by the time he get's out of jail. When you realy delve into the sacramental history of this plant the overwhelming reality of the implications that can be seen can sweep one away. Marc's grounded and he will not ever completely loose his footing.

Wow.
I've been a Pot-TV listener for years, I love Marc and the cause and have given financially on multiple occassions. I'm openly "out" about my pro-pot beliefs and use Pot-TV often as a wonderful source of news and inspiration.
I dont tell you these things to brag, but to tell you "I'm one of you" and have been for almost the last 10 years...
However this show , At Times, was Disturbing to me.
Disturbing in a Jim Jones'ish sorta way.
I'm against Any kind of "militarization" of our movement. The strides of progress Marc speaks about in BC, were Those the fruits of Militarization ? or Peaceful Steadfast Determination ?
The church. An actual church is a Bad idea. A cross with Cannabis Leaves around it ?

Dress up in Camo and intimidate/bar entry of Police to commercial establishments? Thats only going to turn the fence-sitters cold. We'll win by appealing to their conscience, not trying to scare them with Militarization.
I've always considered Marc more like Ghandi, and my history is inadequate on the subject but I picture Ghandi as Passive Peaceful Resistance. I find the word "Militarization" an Ghandi incompatible.
Until this show I'd NEVER gotten any kind of "scary madman" vibe from Marc Emery. He was always the pinnacle of Calm and Eloquence.
I'm happy the movement seems to be focusing, but scared of where Marc may now be taking it.
