You all should have pulled the police off of him or blocked the van from leaving. There were more Cannabians than police. You should have just rushed them. The media loves violence. It took the violent year of 1968 to get the media and the whole world to not turn a blind eye to the reform movement.

I was there just after this went down, my first impression of these cops was psychological side effects from steroid abuse, two of the officers were particular beefy if you know what I mean.
I found it odd because until that day I have never seen the Toronto police act out in agression towards the Cannabis Community (in such a public display.) I have always felt safe in Toronto as a pot head; when around cops at the cafe's, head shops or marches they have always been nice, non aggressive or intimidating. I once got nicked in the alley by a cop behind steves music store, the cop asked for my pipe he looked into it with his flashlight and handed it back saying he was just making sure it wasn't crack. That's it! he got in his car and drove off, nothing else was said.
Long live Toronto the good!
I hope this Cannibian Day mishap is the last of this dark attitude, it's time for a check balance of all parliamentary legislation with our chartered human rights.
Under the pressures to keep cannabis prohibited our foundations are cracking, the cannabis culture has rooted and seeded, it will travel underground all the way to parliament hill, "Weed My Lips" we will win!

holy shit. thats complete bullshit! i hope that kid gets a good lawyer. and if he cant afford one, i hope a good "green freindly" lawyer donates some services. discuss this show in the CC forums >
