Is there a kind of brain rot that sets in to some folks over the age of 50?
I find it so incredibly childish that after so many government reports that suggest legalization is the only way to stop large scale grow ops, the police would not be for it.
I think this tells us that the “old boy” police network is “in bed” with the “old boy” organized crime network.
It is sad to see those who we would otherwise look up to, fall prey to the misinformation and corruption of their times.
When anyone sees a person in their 80’s smoking cannabis it is proof that it is less harmful than alcohol or tobacco.
It is naive to say that Rick Mercer’s show is just for laughs. I think most viewers understand it as social commentary. I think we can tell by watching, there are many people in this country that would like to propel our sluggish move towards legalization with any push they can give. Rick Mercer and Pierre Burton are two of those people.
It is interesting to see how pro–pot the CBC is and I wonder how long it will be before they are forced to sing a different tune. It is really not normal for a government supported media outlet to be defiant of the “ old money power structure”. I hope they can keep up the good work. They were trying to talk some sense into the policeman on the show, but he did not seem to really understand what they were trying to say.
Until every Canadian that wants pot, grows their own in their backyard, we will not stop throwing huge amounts of money into organized and unorganized crime as well as wasting lots of hydro when the sun shines for free.
Go figure.
In a few years that policeman and his kind will be retired anyway:)
