What a staggering load of bull shit. That cop Chuck Doucette claimed "There's absolutely no way that organized crime will stop selling marijuana just because we legalize it." That makes absolutely no sense. A totally legal supply would cost at most one tenth of what the illegal market provides. Organized crime would simply not be able to compete anymore. I'm in the US so I don't think that I would be as effective as a Canadian, but I hope that someone is protesting this BS to the media outlet that put this out and the cops.
I love how just because someone has been given a fucking badge that somehow makes them an expert on pharmacology and economics. The media looks to cops as being some kind of neutral source of information when they are actually just another power hungy bureaucracy trying to justify getting more money and ability to abuse harmless people. discuss this show in the CC forums >
