What software or plug-ins do I Need?

POT-RADIO is currently streaming in Realplayer and MP3.

    REALPLAYER

SureStream Real 7.0 and Real 5.0 is our streaming format

Real Player 7 can be downloaded for free (you have to look a bit on this page for the free version, it's in the fine print). Realplayer 7.0 download

We recommend you download the free version of Realplayer 7. Some systems have problems with Realplayer7, so if you have problems with version 7 you might want to download an older version of Realplayer. Real Player 5.0 can be downloaded for free.

Some Macintosh users have trouble with Realplayer. You will need to follow our Macintosh install procedure

Winamp(pc) can play Real Media files with an Input Plug-in; however it will not support the full multi-media Real Stream

You can enter the audio source directly in your RealPlayer:
    rtsp://beagle.insinc.ca/encoder/pottv

    MP3 PLAYER

If you don't already have a MP3 player or an MP3 plug-in for your browser, you can find and download mp3 players and plug-ins at the following links

    Windows: winamp
    Linux: xmms
    Mac: macamp

If you have an MP3 player installed on your computer, you should be able to click our MP3 Stream and listen.

Or, type control-L or select "open location" in your MP3 player and enter
    http://166.90.143.149:9598/

You can also find us listed at live365, just click listen and do a search for pot-tv.

    Where's the video?

Currently we are only streaming audio. We will be beta-testing our video stream in early May.

We have 3 webcams in our studio that refresh every 30 seconds, where we currently broadcast our visual content; studio images, guest hosts, and art. We also have a webcam microscope for the buds from our studio jar, at 10x 60x and 200x magnification. This is very cool; at 200x you can see the individual resin glands.

    How do I chat?

We offer two ways to enter our live chat. If you have java you can chat live right on our chat page.

You can also join our chat with your favorite IRC client. Our chat server is www.cannabisculture.com, port 6667, channel #pot-tv

If you need to download an IRC client, there are many available for every operating system. These IRC clients are more stable than the java chat, and have more features. You can also keep chatting and browsing the web at the same time.

Download an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client for
    Windows: mIRC
    Linux: xchat
    mac: snak

    I still need more help!

We want to help you to get Pot-TV/Pot-Radio. Send your problems to crashed@pot-tv.net, or join our live chat and someone should be able to help you there.

Do you really give away pot?

Yes, we will give away real buds and also marijuana seeds to our different daily contest winners. We also will be giving away t-shirts, subscriptions to Cannabis Culture Magazine, growbooks, and all kinds of other goodies, give-aways, prizes and inducements.
