heres a question for ya ?

Ive been growing my plants for 58days now ,what I do is dump the nutrient every two weeks and fill the res up with a new batch (no tds meter, low on funds),should I top the water up every day to keep it at its orginal amount (50litres), or should I just let the res go down in amount over the two week period?
"pot" whats that something you put your soup in? (me before i started smoking)

You should be topping your reservoir off with plain water. Some type of a ph test kit is a must tho. You can pick one up at any aquarium store for $10 or less. As the plants use the water out of the nute mix,(I use a hot mix) the ph drops and tds can go thru the roof. IMO both are invaluable in hydro, however, you can get by with just a ph test kit. Ive been checking the ph all the way through the grow ,I keep it around 6.(by the way my plants dont seem to be suffering any ill effects)
