I keep mine around 70F, during the winter I have to use a fish tank heater to keep the temp. up. 64F is too cool, according to Ed rosenthals book

24 degrees Celsius is optimum. It is at this point that nutrients can be absorbed fastest and results in optimum photosynthesis.

64 degrees is to cold i would heat up the water so it doesnt feel cold to the touch. Around 72-74 degrees.

I have a 23 gal. res with 16 gal. water/nutes and I run it @80 degrees and they love it. When I grew the mothers in soil I kept that at 80 also and they produced bunches. Maybe it has to do with the strain...?

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.........

I'm going to try to keep the res temperature at 72-75 degrees. The only thing is I will have to use some type of heater. A aquarium heater will not work in my resivor cause it is quite shallow. Has anybody ever tried to heat their resivor with a low watt waterbed heater? I thought this would work great for my situation. What do you think? PEACE

Should work.Water bed heaters usually have a thermostat to regulate the heat.I also have my resevoir sittng on 2 inch thick styrofaom to help insulate from cold floor..IMHO..PEACE..
