Am I Doing Everything Properly?

hey guys -
first time grower here who just needs a little bit of confirmation. I finally had some seeds pop (put in ph'd water on a heating pad), so I soaked my starter rockwool cubes for 24 hours in ~5.0ph water, squeezed them out a bit, and then pujt the popped seeds into the cubes. I closed over the tops of them, put them into a container and put some floro's over the top to provide a bit of heat.
I did that about 12 hours ago, I'm not too patient, so I went and looked at the cubes this morning, and the seeds are exactly the same as they were, doesn't look like a thing has happened.
Did I do something wrong or do I just need a little more patience?
Any help would be appreciated,
Nick

from what I understand a 5.0 ph is very acidic. PH levels, correct me if im wrong, should be about 6.8 - 7.0.

Anyone have any ideas? Came home today after another 10 hours, and still just the seeds sitting there popped open, no sprouts really.

when you put them in your rockwool, did you put the root tip pointing down? If not they will take longer to sprout because they will have to right themselves. just a thought.(I am also a first time grower). Teeser

Sprouted seeds can take 4-7 days or more to make their appearance through starter cubes, be patient. They grow down as well as up; roots can get a couple of inches long or more before the cotyledons break through the surface.
One thing to keep in mind with starter cubes: don't let them get dry - ever. They'll suck the moisture from your plant. Rockwool's hard to overwater, make sure the medium is moist at all times.
Good luck,
-SX

Sounds like you went about it the right way.Keep them warm(80-85dgrs) and moist not wet.Quit poking at them.Leave them alone. You keep disturbing them and they won't grow for sure.Patience..IMHO..PEACE..
