plants into bubbler

after i see good root growth threw the bottom of the 1" rockwool cubes do i transplant the plant/rockwool all together into my grorocks in the bubbler or do you remove the plant from the rockwool then put it into the grorock medium. some might think i've just asked the worlds stupidest question but i had to ask help appreciated.newbe

No it is not a stupid question. Alot of people do not like to answer such rudimentary questions, since it has been answered so many times before on here, But I do not mind!!
Put the rockwool and everything in the bubbler, and put the rocks around it. Keep your nute level about a 1/2 to 1 inch below the pot, until you see roots growing out the bottom of your net basket.
You can let your nutes get a little low with no harmfull effects once the roots are hanging in the solution.
I like to put a double air pump on each bucket. Extra bubbles can only be better for the plants.

JW, little confused by your answer. Why keep the nute solution below the pot? As far as I know, the level should be .5 to 1" above the bottom of the pot. This allows the grow rocks to wick water to the rockwool, as well as pushing the roots to find the source of nutrition and increasing oxygen supply to the roots. It won't hurt the plant to let the level fall below the pot for short periods but I wouldn't recommend it to be a long term strategy. IMO. guardian

I disagree,
the idea of an aerosystem is exactly that air, you need this high oxygen area to premote rapid disease free growth. leave your water below your pot and allow the plant to come to the water, the bubblers will create a bath of mist for the hanging roots stimulating growth.

hook, the bubbler is a deep water culture system, not an aeroponic system. My contention still stands. The question concerned a bubbler. regards, guardian

Guardian is right. You need to have the water level at least touching the bottom of your pots and then the lava rocks, or other medium, will draw the water up to the roots. The roots will begin to grow to the solution and then the water level can drop. If the level is not touching the pots to start, the roots will dry up.

Hey Newbe...don't feel bad for asking that!
I consider myself to be a cannabis fanatik, but I still have silly questions (yours wasn't silly at all), especially on hydro! This is what the forums are for...keep on overgrowing the government dudes! Thanks to all that have ansered my simple questions and others!

No you do not NEED the solution to touch the bottom of the pots. The bubbles will splash up on the bottoms of the pots, and keep them moist enough.
I do it all the time, and haven't lost a plant yet!
After you have your net pot in there, just lift it up and see if the bottom of it is wet.
It will be!!!! and in turn, the geolite will wick enough to keep the plant plenty healthy!!
Just check your ph and PPM every few days!!

My airstones dont kick much water up. It diffuses the water a lot. Maybe if you have no airstones it will slash water on the bottom of the pots.
