Sorry Jesus, but you need to have the water level .5-1" above the bottom of the pot. Once the roots have become well hung you can suffer a little lower levels, but I have found that the aircurtains I use propel very fine bubbles, but they don't bounce that high. Until the roots are well into the solution I wouldn't use ferts and the water level will not go down until the roots are suckin' things up. i have found I can go 2 weeks until I replace the first solution in the system.
I have been using this system for almost a year now.

hey guys,
sorry about that aero comment, I was really baked, imagine that! I have always found that I get faster growth with placing a drip system(1 min on 60mins off) in with my plant and allowing the roots to grow to the water(then removing it). But, as it was pointed out that makes it a aero/NFT and not deep water culture, however I have found it can be quite beneficial to mix these types.

I never said having your levels above the bottom of your pot does not work. What I am saying is that it is not the ONLY way to do it. And my way is not either, but that does not mean it doesn't work.
Been doing it for two grows...no problem
The person who taught it to me... has been doing it for 5 years!!
It does NOT hurt to have the water levels a half inch below the pots!!
I suggest instead of disagreeing with other peoples methods of growing is to give your experiences of how you do it, (witch I'm sure works). Therefore people will learn many different ways to grow our favorite plant.
Better yet try both ways and see what works best for you!

JW, I don't believe anyone said your system wouldn't work, personally I appreciate all constructive comments and I would be the first to admit that I've got alot to learn, so all input on this thread is relevant and if it makes you think and ask questions, it's got to be good. Recently I read an article that stated the most common mistake growers make is to listen to the "experts" and change their growing method. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm trying my first bubbler right now, and so far it's not going so great. The clone is going yellow. I rooted it in a soil mix then washed the soil off and put it in a rockwool cube. I dont have gro-rocks or geolite so I stuffed my mesh pot with rockwool only. I dunno its just an experiment but it seems like the roots are taking a long time to get thru the rockwool and the plant may die before that happens. Next time I'll try cloning directly into rockwool, and getting some gro-rocks I suppose.

Yeah, starting in rockwool or peat pots is better. The root may have been damaged in the transfer.
I am not an expert on bubblers, but you have to keep the roots wet until they reach the solution, which means that you have to keep the medium surrounding the plant in the mesh pot wetted evry day.

Don't let the rockwool come into direct contact with the nute solution, there should be grow rocks or styrofoam or vermiculite or something between the rockwool and the nutes. In other words your plant is drowning, take the wool out and gently press or wring the water out. Then flush the wool with sterile water and wring it out again. Hopefully this will help. guardian

Ahh styrofoam, now thats something I could get my hands on. I just don't like shelling out $25 for a giant bag of gro-rocks. Why don't they come in a smaller bag???
Anyway, I am doing like JesusWeed, I have the water level about a half an inch under the pot. The mist generated from the bubbles keeps the bottom of the pot wet, and keeps my rockwool moist but not saturated. The bottom of the pot might be somewhat saturated though I don't think my clone is drowning, I think its just not getting much air to its roots. The roots have too far to go thru rockwool before they will be through the mesh pot. I'm thinking about putting a dome over it to encourge quicker rooting.
