What if only some are ready?

I was wondering if others have also encountered this - I have some plants that look like they will be ready soon, but some others do not. They are all in the same ebb & flow table. How do I do a final flush in this situation? I'm lost for ideas! Thanks!

Depending on your set up....you might be able to elevate your done plants a few inches and let the younger plants continue or you might try this... put your more mature plants,pot and all in a casarole pan with sides high enough to keep out the water and nutes from the flood table. This way you can flush them by hand watering and keep the same light setup. Hope this Helps.

all you will accomplish by elevating the "done" plants is starving them of water and nutes.
if you can remove them do so and hand water them...

Now, I've had this problem more than once. I found it a royal pain in the ass to take plants out and feed them water seperately. If you have indica and sativa in the same bed, them your just going to have to take them out of the bed a feed seperately. But if they are all the same strain, or a few strains, but are prettyclose to having the same finishing times, you can force the others to finish a wee bit early. Yes, I know it sounds like something you don't want to do. But I've found that when it happens, I just try to get as many as I can close to the harvest window, and then I flush them no matter what. Even if a few aren't ready. Some will finish alittle late, or some a wee bit early, but boy does it save you headaches. You'll have a slight variation in stone maybe, but I think you can live with that.

I said elevate (in the event that the younger plants are with in a few days,) you can still hand water since they should be in a flush cycle now, the dish thing works, I've used it, just put something heavy enough in the bottom so that when the table floods, the pan doesn't float, sometimes it doesn't matter if the pan floats it just puts the mature plants three or four inces closer to the light for half an hour. Just make sure the light is elevated enough not to burn up the plants that float. Mature plants should be heavy enough to do the job. No guarentee, but it has worked for me.

Thanks for the replies! I went out and bought a 2.5 quart bucket for the task. I have 1 100% sativa in with some indica/sativa & indica plants. The sativa has about 3 week left, so I will keep it in the bucket during the flow cycle and water it by hand. Next time I will either not grow the different strains at the same time, or start them at different times according to their flowering period. Thanks!
