Is a 1 week final flush too short? [Post#: 119733 ]

I was wondering the length of the final flush? I'm flushing with pure blend bloom, but I think my plants only have a week til harvest. Is a 7 day flush too short? What about if I use clearex for the last couple of days? Thanks

Using clearx and 7 days of flush should be fine.Flushing usually finishes quicker in hydro.I grow in hydro and usually flush for 7-10 days and it produces fine tasting smoke.7 days is the general minimum time requied to achieve good tasting smoke..IMHO..PEACE..

I afree with OD. 7 days minimum. I'm not sure about fancy additives for flushing. In my cave man opinion water works good as long as its ph is close to neutral......I'd go two to be safe...After all this time whats 7 days. a week will probably be enough but two will definitely be and the smoke from a 2 week flush is always smoother. Smokes sweet after air dry for a week or so...if your a newbie or novice and yo obviously no pro cuz your askin about flushing yo shit chances are you got a bit of some nitrient outta wack in your shit and 2 weeks with h2o is a fail safe. CRAZY chems out there growing monster nugs! great in the garden not in me lungs though. If you have to a weeks ok

It seems to me less time would be needed to flush in hydro since salts and ferts. won't accumulate the same as in a soil medium, although since I'm "hydrophobic" this is only an opinion. I have always flushed at least 2 weeks prior to harvest in soil and I have been rewarded with the kind bud. I feel flushing is important in any medium, but especially if you have had overfert. problems or you suspect a salt build up as a result of numerous feedings. Peace and good luck in your search for the smooth herb!

I like 5 -7 days (five gallon pail, big plant, hydro)
Where the drain line enters the res take it out.
Add temporarly a straight connector.
Attach extra drain line to run straight to drain.
Now your set up temporarly from your pails to a sewer drain.
Bring in and turn on a garden hose.......lukewarm water.
Nice thing about hydro, different set of root structure, we can flush and flood these babies all day long if we wanted and the plants will never get waterlogged.
So we flush and flood the medium out for 20 mins or so a plant, draining out to a drain.
Straight water in the res and back on the drip system.
Next day res change and thusly so every day for five to 7 days.
Might do another garden hose flush and flood on the 4th day
Makes for very clean hydroponic weed
smoke, growth, and peace
