Selecting a hydro type.

i've been using a homemade ebb and flow system for a little over two years now.. and it's reaching the end of it's term (was built for proof of concept :) ). looking though yer run of the mill hydro catalogs I see a few systems that i'd like (dutch gardens, waterfarms).. and i like the price (and not having to build another one). one of the reasons i built my own was to better accomidate the space i was using. which when you engineer something there is ALWAYS the revision process. which can suck when you just want things to work.. (AutoCAD helped shrink that process) so anyways...
my question is.. those of you who are growing in small spaces (oh, say.. 5'x3'x4') what hydro setup do you use? (brand name, custom built, etc..) any pros/cons you've encountered?

I have absolutely no first hand experience with hydro but.. from the research ive done.. bubblers are the most effecient and best way to go.. especially in small places. You have a lower number of plants... which is good incase you ever got busted. And from the pics ive seen.. The growth is amazing. You can buy already made ones like the power grower (http://www.alternativegarden.com/site/systems/page1gh.html)
Or you can build your own pretty easily. Good luck.

you built one that works ....take the time and effort to design an upgrade....no system out there is worth the $...you pay for hype like nike...levi...fuck that...try a nft style something with pvc,swampcooler drains. plumbed with swamp cooler pipe. 4, 8, or 16 tube with no pump manifold. 20 oz styro cups, 6" PVC END caps and a 3" hole saw. will get you an awesome system.....just my 2 cents but at this point you may want to put your $ into a good ppm/ph gadget....doing it your self leaves more $ for things that matter like your pump lights exhaust and genes....Fuck these 5 and six hundred dollar systems. A dude growing personal dont need to waiste his $.

the DEC. holiday issue has a step by step for a tube system. by E-Z Gene. have any of you seen this? and if so is it worth building? my partener and i have never done any hydro. and we were going to build this system and try it. after the crop we have going now is done. any of you hydro guys have any thoghts on this?

a bubbler setup is great, you can connect four waterfarms together using their connector tube and buy their resivor that goes with it, check it out at www.genhydro.com you can also check out the new trays that you build your own at www.altgarden.com they are rated the #1 system for the cash in the new high times.

bubblers are great from what i hear----- i'm using 10 gallon rubbermaids with 4 6 inch net pots each in my setup...
i talked with the owner of a medium sized east coast hydro store chain.... and though he stopped growing he recommends the aeroponics systems (aeroflow??) he's only had one complaint from a guy who supposedly could never grow anything out of anything anyway (get that?) he says his growth rates were unprecidented and the system is easily customized.... look for components on ebay and such-- a little assembly but nothing major at all from what i hear.
