i am doing my first grom and i have some premeir pro mix here. i was just wondering if there is anything i should add to this to make it better?

Make sure to add 1 cup of dolomitic lime per cubic foot of medium before you plant. The mix contains dolomitic lime, but is inadequate!...moonshiner

yea
bonemeal, bloodmeal, greensand, cottonseed meal, wormcastings, V/P check ph prior to adding any lime..

I'd recommend using somthing other than greensand, it breaks down VERY slowly and becomes available to plants over several years. Outdoors it would be extremely benificial, but indoors a waste of time and money!...peace...moonshiner

Any mix consisting of mostly peat moss will gradually become more and more acidic. I used sunshine mix (same ingredients as pro-mix) for 4 years and found that if you do not add additional dolomitic lime that you will run into PH problems. Regardless, Dolomitic lime will never raise your PH above 7 and is the surest way to gaurantee a neutral PH....moonshiner

Old habits die hard.. Been using this mix outside for years. Just started
using indoors last year... Never had a problem with ph using ProMix bx. I
mix 3 gal at a time and only add 2 tbs dolomic lime

That's probably because you add bonemeal, which contains magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca), it also helps to de-acidify soil...peace...moonshiner
