Re: sex or pot ? [Post#: 67743 / re: 67739 ]

I think the main difference between the people like Gipete who choose love and people like me who choose herb is that I am part of the younger generation who is either at or approaching the "pinnacle" of life, if you consider the pinnacle to be the balance of youth, discovery, and wisdom, neither outweighing another. All seem to be equal at this point, but I know my youth will fade, discovery will metamorphose into a different experience, and wisdom will hopefully come with time. At this point, I'm convinced I've felt true love and honestly, it scares me. I've gotten sick to my stomach over it, and the particular instance I am talking about was nothing but trouble. At this point, I need to discover me before I can discover anyone else, and ganja is a very intricate part of the equation. Looking back, I was basically married for a year and I must say that in retrospect it sends a really negative vibe, enough so that I'm not sure if I ever want to be in a solid relationship, especially not right now. I realize that my youth will fade, and that scares me. My greatest fear is not anything to do with death, but of being old and not being able to do what I can now physically, etc. I would never want to live forever, especially if it meant aging. I can't forsee the satisfaction of life over 50, that's the way I am. So for me, herb has been a life instructor in that I have found the door to my own personal happiness with it. I will say that the relationships I have had with any person that have been based on herb have matured to make all non-herb relationships pale in comparison. I've never lost someone who I met or came close with by tokking, and I'll choose that love over the other any day of the week as long as I think the way that I do now. I'd take any one of my friends over any of the relationships I have had. It's true what they say...partners come and go, but friends are there no matter what. And if herb has led me to the people that I have found to be loyal and true, the type of friend you'd risk your life for, I'm not going to give it up just for one person to love. I think that if a joint is just a joint, then it wasn't meant to be a spiritual connection for you, and there is something else out there for you. I like herb above all for what it has done to help me be at ease in this horrid world, and I've never been at ease in a love based relationship. I'm a free spirit, so to say. If you're into astrological meaning I'm a Pisces, and I've lived the most lives out of the other signs. I often feel this way, and I can amuse myself by thinking that the only things that have seen as many miles as my soul are my bowl, herb, and other Pisces.

Re: sex or pot ? [Post#: 67745 / re: 67743 ]

No relationship of any kind can survive at close quarters unless there is agreement on fundamentals, how to raise children, money, philosophy (religion/lifestyle), and sex.

If a couple is at loggerheads over any one of these, that relationship is doomed. No exceptions. If smoking pot is an intrinsic part of your philosophy/lifestyle, and you involve yourself intimately with someone who has positions intolerant of any of those 4 areas that you hold dear, no long-term relationship is possible.

Candidly, I couldn't even consider a relationship with a person not open to psychedelic experiences with marijuana, ecstacy, DMT (especially DMT), mushrooms, 2-CB (especially 2-CB! Fuck you and lick you and do wild orgy stuff for hours).

The problems is when all women at the beginning of a relationship, in order to snag you, will do it all, ass-fucking, blow jobs galore, threesomes, drugs of all kinds but within a year or two a woman in a relationship gets very comfortable and starts becoming conservative, settled, married and then wants kids and then there is no sex, no money, no drug experimentation, no orgies, and... no fun/energy.

Life is hell and you're stuck with it, and as a guy, you wonder if you are in a David Byrne Talking Heads song...

"This is not my beautiful house
This is Not My Beautiful Wife
How did I get Here?
(Letting the Days Go By,
Letting the Water Slowly In)

Its a Drowning in Boredom Song and its Relationship Angst that almost all of us end up in but boy we sure had no intention of letting it unfold that way

(and you may find yourself
living in a shot-gun shack,
and you may find yourself
in another part of the world,
and you may ask yourself,
Well, HOW DId I GET HERE?
(Letting the days go by,
Let the water hold me down,
Into the blue again,
after the moneys all gone,
ONCE IN A LIFETIME...

Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was

marc i cant believe your sweeping generalizations about the course of relationships peoples relationships have all kinds of rythms I would expect that younger people would see sex as more important than pot.But the great thing is that nobody has to choose they are both great .I was wondering what fantasys are most important to people thier sexual fantasys or toking fantasys ?or do their sexual fantasys always necesarily involve pot .Malmo levine saws he tokes up while having sex

The question was sex or pot, not love or pot. Love and sex are different bananas. Been married almost 35 years and would never give up my love. But then, I am lucky 'cause my love loves her tokes almost as much as I do. We will probably have lungs filled with thc in our last breaths........

sex with no pot is like apple pie without cheese........

Re: sex or pot ? new [Post#: 67751 / re: 67748 ]

What if you don't like cheese? The question was sex or pot, but I think it became love or pot because sex or pot was a no brainer generally speaking. As far as fantasies go, I personally don't really have any where the two worlds collide. My sex fantasies are just that, and the same for pot fantasies. My sex fantasies often seem to be based on other experiences, just modified and intensified. I fantasize more about people I know than people I see on TV or in magazines, never involving herb. I think it's just easier to develop a clearer picture that way. As for pot fantasies, I have lived a few. I like intellectualism and insight, especially when I smoke. I'm more apt to be in the room at a party where people are gathered at a table talking about politics or world issues or spiritualism with some Floyd in the background rather than the room where people are playing video games, giggling, and telling jokes with party music playing. I like the smoky room atmosphere where everyone is sitting down and engaging in various types of thought. Sex has never meant a lot to me, despite the fact that my bros' favorite nickname for me is "Sluts" and the occasional "Sticks" after the Thai Sticks I took to Woodstock for us all that got us totally messed up. I was raised in a community where the tokkers were the kids who were either good at sports or smart, basically the popular crowd. I am a little of both leaning towards the intellectual side, always debating with my bros. I guess this has changed my perspective somewhat in that women have never been a problem for me, being a part of that crowd, and they've came and gone more than I can even count on my hands and toes. The point is, in my situation, herb has never failed me, which has made herb be the glorifying factor in my favorite fantasies. This brings me back to the cheese thing because everyone is different, and not always just because of how they think. How you live is entirely as much influencial, and my fantasies are based on what has made me the happiest, which is herb. The grey area in the middle seems to be herb and sex for me, but I have to say that I enjoy tokking more than even sex when I'm high, because sex has never meant much to me and it seems to almost add a certain limit to my high. The sensation is great, but my best fantasy would be to be able to smoke with all my closest friends and bond, have a few laughs, and have a good conversation. Maybe even play a little tennis. That's just my view, and I find it comforting to know and see that others have a different perspetive on things; that we are all not drones following the piper to our graves.

When you're the Prince of Pot, Publisher of Cannabis Culture, etc., well.... I'm living my pot fantasy, this is my idea of Spiderman or Daredevil or Reed Richards or Green Lantern (circa 1970) come to life. The celebration and liberation of Cannabis.

Well, now my sex life is much less glorious, so I have lots of sexual fantasies...

But you can't work it out between a couple if one is into pot and the other not. I mean, why would you want to...

Re: sex or pot ? new [Post#: 67755 / re: 67753 ]

The Green Lantern is the greatest comic character of all time. We have named three of our apparatuses the Green Lantern: Green Lantern Classic is a transluscent green glass fumed pipe, the Green Lantern is a one and a half foot two chambered fluorescent green acrylic bong, and Green Lantern II is an automated green glass and acrylic steamroller with a one inch fan intake pump so you don't even have to suck to fill it, runs on two AA batteries. If I could be any comic character, I'd be Green Lantern, and I'd live up to my name by smoking a gram of green everyday. I know this isn't a sex or pot thing, but I thought I'd add it where it fits, right after Marc's post. And just to add, I think Marc has it made. I was going to be a chiropractor, but now I'm considering getting a degree in botany and moving to Amsterdam to work in a marijuana facility of some sort. My greatest fantasy would be to work with marijuana in accordance with the law the more I think about it.

wow, i can't believe how general the question is. do you mean chewing on commercial stems versus sex on a trapeze with 25 pornstars? or is it that first beautiful hit from my bong at 10 a.m. on a sunny summer day versus the sloppy, ill remembered sex i have while drunk? thank god i'll never have to choose, 'cause i'm all indecisive when i'm high.

I am also living a rather fantasy-esce lifestyle, dispite my current lack of weed. Make my own hours, wonderful husband, ect.

Weed or sex, eh? that's like saying "water or oxegen" to me. Rather addicted to both. (if addiction is needing something to be happy, like good food).

Besides, i could give up pot for a weekend of hot monkey lovin' with a total babe, and go back to mj later.

Love or sex? I'd give up anything for the man i love, but i love him 'cause I'd never have to.
