herbal aphrodisiacs new [Post#: 68513 / re: 67668 ]

I am currently growing poppy, wormwood, datura, wild dagga (lion's tail) and I heard that at least three of these have been used, historically, as aphrodisiacs.

Anyone with first "hand" personal experience?

Check out the beautiful book "Plants of Love" by Christian Ratsch 1997 for more info on herbal aphrodisiacs.

And if you horndogs really want to get turned on, convince Marc Emery or Chris Bennet at Pot TV to play the 1971 movie "Aphrodisiac" It's like a 1/2 documentary, 1/2 full-penetration porno (with smart chicks and real tits). I busted a chubby the first time I saw it - awsome flic.

Well, for the wormwood, a little of my home-mede absinthe can make people seem much more interesting (I'm a very anti-social person) and attractive. But slightly absent-minded too, so I'll spend hours talking with a stranger, decide they're wonderful and sexy, but forget to get their phone number. But then, this could be the alcohol content, who knows. All I know is that wormwood is the worst tasting stuff on the planet, so I'd probably give loads of head just to get the taste out of my mouth.

Dormouse --
Have to agree with you about wormwood tasting like poo...I bought a tincture of it at a health food store -- I took some of it, but felt nothing.
Would love to hear more about your home made absinthe -- how do you make it?

p.s. Some other herbal afrodisiacs include Yohimbe (herbal viagra) and damiana, both readily available in any health food store

Dormouse,
I'm thinkin' that means right now your husband is busy trying to acquire a couple o' truck loads of Wormwood.... :^)
Would love to hear more about your homemade Absinthe and your experiences.Have never met the green fairy myself.Have considered ordering a bottle after the CC article re-peaked my interest in Absinthe.I don't drink much alcohol, but think it maybe something I might enjoy on occasion.Thank you.

Ahh...Datura Stramonium,my favorite nightshade. It's all about the seeds.
Strong buzz, take heed.Easy 2 OD,be very careful and informed on dosage.
Good luck, and post your trip,as i've heard some WILD datura stories!

As I wouldn't say it's strictly an aphrodisiac, I started a thread about absinthe in the psychedelics forum. Will post the recipe there, though really a quick search of the internet can find loads of them. But this one's pretty good.

Dormouse,

Have you ever heard of anyone smoking the wormwood? Seems like a good way to avoid all that head-giving. Or a breathmint. Oh well, different strokes....

Avoid?

Yeah, I smoke it sometimes, but find it doesn't do much that way, and it doesn't taste very nice as smoke, so as smoking akes longer than drinking, I go the alcoholic route.
