I would suggest using a very low heat setting and nuking until the butter darkens. Monitor the smell of the exhaust to avoid burning the material.

Here is your answer! Melt the butter completely DO NOT wait till butter darkens that is a sign of burning. It should be a golden color when you are done. Your goal is to make clarified butter or in India sacred ghee. Remove all white stuff floating on the top of container. Using a stove is easier to do this. You can but it is real messy pour the entire melted contents into a container of ICE water. The butter will float to the top. Put it in the frig to cool down. Later after it is hard enough remove from water. Most of crap will remain in water. Now you melt down your ghee, (if you have a real good tasting weed no problems, but another method is to add enough water to cover up your ghee with.) Grind up your weed, leaves, stems etc and put in with ghee. heat to a boil. Continue the boil for 30 minutes with the water method. For either method after cooking use a nylon stocking or cheese cloth to filter and squeeze the mash through. With water method you could remove as much weed as possible and pour into ICE water again. All of the THC ghee (butter fats) will float to the top. I use the water method because the butter is better tasting. It is easier to use only the ghee though because it is less messy in my opinion! You must really squeeze it out though. You can make a drink using vodka or some grain alcohol from the used mash. Get you plenty high, alcohol can be removed by slowly carefully heating the liquid for about 20-30 mins. Leaving THC loaded liquid that can be mixed with milk and honey. Or whatever I use 1-3 pounds of butter using 1/4 - 2 ounces of bud, over 1/4 pounds of leaves! I turned 1/2 pound of weed & leaves into 5 pounds of kickass butter! Enjoy!
