Good news for a change and my thanks!

Well its 24 hours after my flush...
Although several plants show signs of overwatering (tends to happen with a heavy flush) They appear to be responding well... There is soem new growth for the first time in over a week. The new growth looks healthy.. although as I metnioend they are showing signs of overwater but that can be realtively simply corrected compared to a miriod of nutrient problems.. overfert/underfert.
Things aren't perfect and they are far from "thriving" but they do look much better!!! The 2 that I didn't flush are also looking good.. I added bloodmeal to the two I didn't flush...
So I'm a bit perplexed why now everything is looking better... I still have the dead leaves bu new growth is evident and looking healthy.
Just wanted to thank everybody who participated and provided advice.. although much of it conflicted everybody's advice and ideas lead me to a combination of actions.
I'm sure there will be more occasions where I will come running and screaming for help!!! So I thought I should express my gratitude! Again thanks!

so do you think you know what the problem was sanfran?flushing got rid of the ferts and also the salts.it would likely be one of the two, or both that caused your nightmare since chem ferts often contain lotsa sodium, add salt laden water, and its to much. are you planning on using distilled from now on?might be a neat little experiment if you water one with tap water and ferts the others distilled and ferts(same ratios), just to see if the problem comes back, it may help in finding out the cause. peace

Well no definitive diagnosis. I suspect it was a salt build up... If i was going to stay in San Francisco for a bit I'd go ahead and use tap water on some and distilled water on others.. however.. I cant really afford to have anything die as this is my first and last grow here in California as I'm moving to the East Coast.
As I'm only growing 6 ladies and I cant be sure of hermaphrodites yet I'm sticking to distilled water with H2O2 and Mgs4 supplements. I plan on flowering at 12 inches and I would really like to yield at least 3 oz's. (Enough to get my buy for a short while as I re-establish myself on the east coast.
I have a small bit of smoke left (very small) and dont have any connections out here so I need to keep experiments to a minimum. There are lots of other San Fran area growers though maybe one of them will be up for the task.
Whatever will I do with my handle when I move??!?!? Ugh guess I need to change it and start over my post counts and hope folks remember its me :P

SF: regarding experiments, you're right don't mess with them!! You need that smoke! Whatever you do now just don't fuss over them. Young plants don't like to be fussed over. After flushing them just leave them for a week, no experiments, dont even turn them, dont take them out from under the lights to marvel at them or take pictures of progress, just leave them. Definitely don't give them a drink of water because you think they look thirsty, even though it hasnt been a week. I tend to ruin young plants with over watering myself because I forget if its been a week or not and at that stage the pots are usually hard to judge moisture retention by weight. Anyway, I bet you within a week of sheer neglect until your next watering, they will be fully recovered and ready to take off!
By the way for what its worth, a friend of mine is on his first grow and his plant went all yellow, he kept giving it a 'small drink of water' every few days with light (1/4) fert.

whatever else happens i hope you get good smoke and yield from your plants.hopefully the water was the problem and now they'll thrive. after you move you could call yourself eastcoastgrower,that would ring some bells.peace

Sanfran,
I wouldn't change your handle because of a location change. For us, it's about the posts and the ideas that make the person since we don't ever get to see you. Keep the handle :)
Cats like the chronic too!!
