Heres the pics of the 465CFM for you K_K. [Post#: 112053 ]

As per your post K_K here are both sides of the 465 CFM Dayton Blow3er. (manufactured by Dayton). Here you can see that although you might could attach an intake air flange on one side you'll see the problem on the other. Where the motor is its very open and suck air in from all types of angles. THe motor runs very hot so I expect this is partly to help cool it. Any ideas/?? If I could adapt this to suck air that would be great. Or if you know of a 465 thats enclosed on one side and could adapt just like my 265 CFM send me a link I'll order it. Cant have enough blowers anyway :). Let me know what yall think.

I might be wrong but from what I understand, those four bolts on the side are specifically meant to attach a flange. Am I right? I'd like to know because my fan is the same.

I dunno... I called the hydro store they said you cant use a 465 to suck air because both sides are open ended. If you close off one end the one with the 4 bolts then it just sucks air thorugh the motor side. So far.. unless K_K or somebody else knows a way.

I still think it would work. How would a 4" piece of duct cut off all air flow from the the one side? Air would still enter the hose from the end attached to the reflector. It may work out a little better because it will mix in a little cooler air from the grow room (on the open motor end), alleviateing the temps being exhausted. You've spent like $3000 in the last month alone, whats another $12 for an experimental flange, that could help the well being of your babies and your comfort?

Anyone think this will not work? K_K

The second picture with the four bolts is ment for an adapter. They sell one that fits it at Alt Garden center. Is the blower on the inside of the room or outside? And you are using it for exaust, not intake right?

I can give it a shot... I dont think it will work though due to the motor side. I'll let ya know what happens. I'll order another flange today.

To the man with the plan, to accomplish your goal you are going to need that fan inside the grow room with the air blowing out not the way you have it, you are trying to blow fresh air in right? If you can elevate the device it will take all the hot air out from the top where the air will be the hottest. You only need one fan and the 465 if done right is more power then you will need the 265 will do just great in that room. If you use the piece that the KK posted you can have half the exhaust coming off your bulb and the other half from the air in the upper part of the room, this will go by the motor. Your room will be cool excpetilly in SF where the fog keeps everything cool and you do not have summer heat. And you won’t have to have the fan sitting in the middle of your room.
If you are willing to invest in another blower I would suggest getting a Co2 tank about 130
A regulator is a bit more expensive but you can hand regulate till you got the cash.
I know you are interested in this for I saw your post about the Jugs and the Co2 monitor that you “borrowed” and with Co2 you can let your temp get higher with less of an effect on the plant.

nothing better then gumbo . . . . .except Jumbo
