seed ? new [Post#: 115413 ]  

i put some seeds in the jiffy peat pellets today. i was told to keep a heating pad on them until they sprouted but i placed a thermometer inside my humidome and it said it was already 84 degress with 85% humidity. with that temp. would i need a pad or not? i dont want it to hott.

Should be fine without heating pad.Adding the heating pad will as you said make it too hot for them..IMHO..PEACE..

you may want to take the temp at different times of the day. depending on where you live the nights may still drop temp and humidity alot, which could cause problems without the constant heat source.The humidor should be up off any surface that is easily affected by outside temp.if the readings are as you stated 24/7, then a pad won't help.if the readings drop alot at night then a pad on a timer for the night would help to keep the temp/humidity stable. good luck ,peace
