At what point should I transplant my plants to bigger pots? They're getting pretty big..just wondering what time frame or size I'm looking for..

The general rule is that there should be one gallon of container space for each foot of growth.

I've read that a half gallon per foot is the minimum. If you have the space, though, I think one gallon per foot is optimal.

I havent seen enough to say this for sure of course, but I have a plant that is growing fine in a 3 gallon pot at 6 weeks old, another thats rootbound in a 5 gallon. I would move to 1 gallon pots at 2nd set of leaves if they're not there already, then as big as you can stand once you see roots coming out the drain holes. I know though, you must be very careful with the roots if you wait until you know its seeking more soil out to xplant. As few times as possible is the rule. If you do get one thats rootbound it not necessarily a bad thing, but it may not grow up anymore and may try to start flowering regardless of light cycle. M #1 int he 5 gallon wants to flower so bad it can taste it, and its on 18 hours light. Durban or someone told me premature flowering might be an effect of rootbinding.

I germinated my seeds in peat pellets, when they sprouted I x-planted them into 32oz cups, after 2 weeks under 24/7 floros I x-planted them again into their final spots, 6 gallon buckets under 430w HPS...
Workin so far.
