I ordered NL#5 x Purple Indica. The description is that of a short plant that doesn't grow higher than 3 feet. Ideal for indoor growing. Look at these Pics and if anyone can tell me if this looks like the right strain? I planted a duch treat at the same time and the duch treat is about half as tall as the NL#5 x Purple Indica. These plants have are growing tall!!! I'm having to force them to flower just to keep down their height....they are not really mature enough yet to flower, but are too strong to bend over.
Any Help will be appreciated.

Are those different plants?...if so, you have some fairly stable phenotypes, which is a good thing with crosses! The plants are looking quite healthy and I notice the NL in it...I have no idea what the purple indica essentially is so I couldn't tell you for sure, but thats looking pretty good to me. The leaves are not super fat like some indica's but I find most NL strains are like that at a younger age. Peace and who did you order your beans from...if they are from BCSC, I assure you they are the authentic strains you asked for. I'm growing some NL X Big bud (baldy) right now. I'm very enthused about this cross as I am with most NL#5 crosses...seems like a really good strain to make crosses with IMHO.

MMM...you say they are taller than your dutch treat? That is a little odd for NL, but like I said before I'm not familiar with this particular cross. For some reason I remember someone mentioning the purple indica cross was a little taller/spindilier but I'm a big stoner, so you will need more input. Have you sexed any of them? I have had some pretty bushy DT's, but most have a fair bit of Sativa phenotype and grow taller/less bushy, so it does seem kind of odd. Peace!

This may be unrelated, but your plant leaves are curled up a little at the margins, probably indicating some sort of soil/nutrient problem. Perhaps this problem is stunting the growth of your dutch treat more than the nl#5 x purple indica.. Just a thought.

the beans are from BCSC, and thank you all for making me feel at ease. I know the leaves are curling, the pics were taken for an earler post and I learned that they curled because of the heat. I have already fixed the problem and new growth is much better. I have jsut switched to 12/12 at 12inches tall.....can not wait to smoke the bud. I have never smoked any NL. Peace and Love.

Another suggestions..if they are getting too tall, you should top or use SCROG. Do something to make it bushier.you obviously have adequate of light if it was burning the leaves, ...that's what I'd do.

I gotta say. Those don't look that tall. What height are those plants. I'm alittle smoky right now, but They still don't look very tall..... I think.
