For the price of a 1/4!! [Post#: 121343 ]

I see a lot of people on here with indequate light that say they can't afford a good light. Well, they just need to open their eyes and look for a second. There are constantly lights going on Ebay for under $50. I have bought about 15 of them so far for a grand total of about $200. Here is one right now that is going for $30 bucks I think http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item;=581603244 All I'm saying is that you don't HAVE to spend $200-300 to get a light that will produce some big buds. Why wouldn't you invest in an HPS?? I'm sure that $40 investment is going to bring you a hell of a lot more than an 1/4 ounce worth of bud. Just my 2 cents. I somebody can't find a good deal, PM and I'll find it for you and pass it on. That pretty much goes with anything. I know I can't give awesome grow advice because I'm still a rookie, but I sure can sniff out some good deals and help my fellow CC'ers out. Good luck guys and hope to hear from you!

You are so right. I have a friend that smokes an ounce of primo shit every two weeks. If he would take the money he spends in just 2 weeks, and gained some patience, he could have a constant source that cost him next to nothing. No matter how much shit I give him about it, he still won't do it.

fasterlearner..not to discredit anything you say, but I have looked thoroughly on ebay..the cheapest I got a mh light is 100.00 ..that comes with wiring and everything, but no bulb. THe bulbs are like 20.00 alone. If you find some more fixtures with ballast and wiring, please post it here. Thanks.

I might be wrong but about 10 inches above this in my original post I included a URL for an auction where you can get a 400w Metal Halide with ballast and bulb for right around $30. Did you even read my post or just scan over it. That auction will end today, so I suggest you check it out soon. Good luck. If for some reason the link doesn't work for you than let me know and I will repost it another way.

There is probably about $15 or so shipping charge also associated with one of those lights so the total investment would be like $45 or so.

Another option is Home Depot. They just built another one really close to my house and they have 400W HPS setups for $80.00US. Pretty good deal, just add a cord and viola! you have light.

no doubt about it ecopaind! the THCBC is a great deal with current exchange rates. i have ordered from them in the last month and my 274.00 dollar Canadian, came to about 192.00 dollars US. their light system do not come with a ballast box or reflector and they will wire up the kits for 10.00 bucks.
