clones in peat pellets

I have clones in peat pellets.
Should water sit on the bottom of the tray, if so how much?
I can onlr get to my grow once a day.
I think this is who I was.......It's been a long time coming

not necessary to water them everyday..you want to keep them moist not soaking wet for best results..Additional warmth from a heating pad under them will also speed the process..IMHO..PEACE..

at first I try to keep my clones under high humidity with a cover and a heating pad on low. until they root (might try some root harmone)

Don't let it get too humid..don't want any mold growing on them.

I've read that peat pellots aren't good for cloning..forget why, but ordinary potting soil supposedly works better. In any case, keep them under humidity domes all the time, and try to get to them as often as possible. I had to mist mine every day to keep them from wilting. Don't worry too much about mold-- it should only take about a week for them to grow enough roots to support themselves.

hi, i use peat pellets and have had tremendous success (39/40 rooted) with them. i have also heard that they arent good to use because they hold water too much, but they work great for me. anyway, i dont like to leave water sitting in the tray because they do tend to absorb a little too much moisture in my opinion. as long as you mist them once a day at least and keep them in a warm place and make sure there are no leaks so the humidity stays in the dome, you should be ok. imho. pce.
