OTTAWA -- Criminals are getting off too easy as neighbourhoods across Canada are endangered by huge secret pot-growing operations, police groups charged this Tuesday.

The RCMP weren't pleased that charges were dropped or with the prospect of returning Mr. Kubby's pot, Sergeant Danny Willis of the Sechelt Division said. "That's the way the system works and we can make our feelings known but the ultimate decision is theirs [the Crown's] and we have to respect that. We don't have to like it, but we have to respect it."

TEEN'S SUICIDE LINKED TO HOCKEY SUSPENSION FOR POT
The coroner's service is investigating the suicide of a 15-year-old hockey player -- apparently after he was told he was being suspended by his team for possessing marijuana.
