"NON-PROFIT" DARE EARNS $1 BILLION PER YEAR. Despite growing evidence DARE causes an increase in drug use, police are using scare tactics to extort more that $1 billion annually from frightened school boards and corrupt politicians.
MY DRUGS POLICY IS WORKING. "In 1982, I was a sergeant in charge of a "front line" community policing team in Brixton. The locals actively helped us when we were chasing robbers, but we had doors slammed in our faces when chasing cannabis smokers."
MOONIES USING UPI TO LIE ABOUT POT. United Press International (UPI), the 93-year-old news wire, has been purchased by Reverend Moon, who is converting it to a virulent propaganda machine. Case in point, a ridiculous UPI story asserting that marijuana use causes schizophrenia.
JUNK SCIENCE LINKED TO SCHIZOPHRENIA. "Genetic anomalies tied with marijuana-activated brain chemicals appear linked to schizophrenia, Japanese researchers report," claims a recent UPI story. However, later in the same UPI story, the Japanese researchers demonstrate their own schizophrenia by admitting that there is, "no evidence yet these genetic abnormalities can affect how the marijuana receptor actually acts in the brain."
CALIFORNIA JUDGE OVERTURNS LIFE SENTENCE FOR 5 GRAMS OF POT. "While petitioner has a long criminal history, 28 years to life for possession of this small amount of marijuana does shock the conscience of this Court."
FIRST THE VERDICT, THEN THE TRIAL. A Sacramento federal judge decided Monday that the marijuana-growing trial of Bryan James Epis will continue, even though he has not entered a plea.
