I went to the green tide summit. At least to the front doors since I was not actually allowed in. But, I was still able to talk to lots of people from the summit as they came and went. Every poliece officer I talked to said they were targeting "organized crime." When I asked if a large grow op always equated to organized crime most said that it did 99-100% of the time. I then preposed that, perhaps if they make it easier to eliminate grow ops (though very moraly questionable means in this case, I might add), they would likly just end up captureing those who were not part of organized crime because they are either tending the plants for the real organized criminals or growing for themselves to avoid these people. I was told they were aware of this concern and were going to make sure the targeted the organized crime element of marijuana farming. They gave me no details on how they would be diffrentiating organized crime from the folks they agreed should not be the primary targets.
So basicaly they gave me the same age old BS excuse to invade peoples homes and cause more porperty dammage then every responsibly operated grow combine in order to create jobs and cashflow for themselves. That excuse being organized crime (which I reminded them was created by porhibition in the first place.) discuss this show in the CC forums >
