Bubbler Spacing [Post#: 104319 ]

The five gallon buckets I have are 12 inches in diameter. Thus they take up exactly one square foot. Can I pack them so that ones right up against the next, having six bubblers in a 2' x 3' space. Is this too many ? Will this affect the plants negatively ? Plan to grow small bushes under a 400w HPS.

Thanks, Longtime Lurker

you could grow 8 or 9 clones per bucket safely. in a 2x3' area you could theoretically (providing the buckets do fit in the space) grow 54 clones if you do your stuff right and know what your doing... have the right lights, co2, ventelation, odor control, temp, humidity, ph, etc.etc.etc.

if you can get it all to work in harmony, youll have one nice little setup which should supply you and the neighborhood with killer boo ... with a setup like that you should be doing sog with a small veg and mothering chamber seperate from the flower chamber (the 2x3 space).

good luck.

You could do that but, you are going to find it very much crowded very fast. To give you an example. My grow area is 6X2X8 ft tall. I had 4 bubblers in there and when I finished the grow, right before harvest the closet was full.

I think you would do better with 2-3. IMHO

Hope this helps

Once again, it's a matter of how big you veg them. For sure a 2ft plant is going to take up a huge amount of room but I have some flowering clones that are single cola and could fit 3 per 5gal bucket if I had some extras. They were flowered right out of the cloning chamber with no veg time and currently look like they'll yield 1/4oz per clone.

Cats like the chronic too!!

Re: Bubbler Spacing new [Post#: 104570 / re: 104517 ]

ive vegged clones just long enough to get roots then flowered at no more than 8" tall. they each grew straight and tall with only one cola, each plant trimmed to not crowd the neighbors too bad.... they dried around 1/4-1/2oz. each, in a setup with around 9 plants/sq ft.

you are correct though, it all depends on how big you let them veg.. Flower them small and the plant wont get to big and you can get away with more in a smaller space. youd be suprised at what you can squeeze into a small grow space!!!

good luck..

Your answer is no. It physically is not possible considering your grow area is only 5 square feet to begin with. I posted a comparison pic showing the size of one bubbler grown in the same dimension as yours. If you keep them small you can probably fit 3 (4 would be pushing it), so long as you do not top them and flower them early. Good Luck, keep us posted...K_K

here is a pic of three, and as you can see, this is pushing it...K_K

I hate to admit this, but this is the first time I was ever relieved to find a male in my grow

kk,

i have to disagree with your post.. it IS physically possible to grow 40-50 ***clones*** in a 5sq.ft area, ive pushed that limit before and grew them out to harvest, sucessfully. they were not bushes like you are growing (then yes, you are right, it would be too crowded)... they were simply tall and narrow one cola clones.

if hes going to bush them then yes... 3 or 4 is max for that space.. but cloning/sog, you can pack 'em in if you know what your doing and have the right life support equipment.

best regards,

Hmmm...What was the subject in question here? Ohh thats rite, bubbler spacing. Who said anything about clones? I was simply answering the question presented to us K_K

yes, i understand that. i took the question as, "the dude wants to know how to fit a buttload of plants in bubblers in a 2x3 spot", henseforth why i mentioned clones... that would be the way to fit a lot of plants in a small area... not letting them grow their brains out...

lol

later!
