how many in my bubbler??

Good afternoon all! Well, I'm new to the hydro thing and have a couple questions. My new room is 28" x 23" and is lit by 300W HPS. I am building a bubbler out of a rubbermaid container. The container fills the 28" x 23" space perfectly. Now I am trying to figure out how many plants this bubbler can support. I am planning on using the sog method. I soil I was able to go with 5 to 6 plants in the same amount of space. Am I going to be pushing it if I go with 5 plants in this space. Also, I am only concerned with the colas, I am not going to grow a bush. I am only asking this question because I do not know if 5 plants are going to drink up so much nute that it'll be a full time job keeping it full. Thanks in advance!

in a bubbler like you describe:: the level will gradually decrease no matter how many plants are in it (more plants though, the faster...) as the plants suck up the water and as some evaporates naturally...
(( this is a generic rule of thumb )) when the container is about half empty, top it off with straight water. when that amount reaches the half empty level again then its time for a new batch of solution. drain old solution and mix up another vat of it and your in business. repeat as often as necessary.
ive gone all grow season and only had to top it off one time with 3 plants (small bubbler) and on another extreme ive had to top it off/re-mix the stuff 3 or 4 times in a grow. im sure it could be more or less frequent with a different setup also... again, some conditions vary with every different setup, so monitor the solution (ph.. ) and youll know what needs to be done. you get a feel for the rig, like its an attachment of yourself! so to answer your original question::: nah, you should be in great shape with 5 plants in a 28x23 area.. just prune em to fit snug!
