The Summer of Legalization Becomes the Winter of Our Discontent!
It was a nice run, but it is over
I'm very angry! This Ontario Court of Appeal decision gives the government everything they asked for. The gov't doesn't have to distribute pot, the prohibition is -ILLEGALLY - reinstated by the OCA, no remedy is offered for the tens of thousands of citizens who have been convicted of a crime that didn't exist for 26 months, the security of the person is still violated by the new court-approved regs (no legal access in reality).
Its a terrible decision for the medical marijuana people and will prove to be of no help at all in this period following this decision.
I am going to finance an appeal to this decision to the Supreme Court, so any of the litigants in Hitzig who are unhappy with this rout, get in touch with me.

Parliament Hill Smoke-Out Coverage
Gaurdian99 sent us in this clip of Marc's largest and most important stop-over of The Summer Of Legalization Smoke-Out Tour. Although the rest of the tour was wideley covered by a variety of media, this was the only story to come out about the very important Parliament Hill Smok-Out. It's almost as if the media doesn't want anybody to know that THERE ARE NO LAWS AGAINST MARIJUANA POSSESSION IN CANADA. I guess we will just have to inform everybody ourselves. |

At 4.00 p.m. on Thursday the 25th, I intend to speak on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, to demand the government end the court challenges, scrap the proposed legislation and accept that marijuana possession is ALREADY LEGAL.
Bring banners and signs that say 'Marijuana possession is legal, let's keep it that way!'
Four out of ten provinces now have legal marijuana possession regime. This Ottawa event is our opportunity to impress upon Parliamentarians that maijuana IS legal, and the sky hasn't fallen in!
