Two of the things I love are good food and marijuana. I wish people would write more recipies here (yes I'm talking to myself). I wonder why this forum isn't more popular? You'd think it would be. There are millions of veriations and possible ideas when it comes to dope and food. I guess it's because everyone (including me) on here is addicted to argueing. It's hard to argue about food. By the time you've answered all the insults and given your opinions all you want to do is go out. Well I'm going to make more time for this forum.

i know that its fairly worthless to bitch about this, but i agree. this forum is ALWAYS the very first one i check to see if there are any new posts, but seldom is my excitement quelled by a new recipe. really i have no room to complain, i havent ever added a single recipe to the forum as i dont have any to share. but i do wish that there were more people out there that knew of ways to combine an interest marijuana and cooking. oh well i suppose. no worries. peace

Hi guys.
Well thanks a lot for sharing your feelings about making this forum more popular.
Like Kiwi said, because it's not a particularly opinionated forum, there's a lot less bickering, etc. which may makes it seem a little more tame. Personally, I prefer that though; the constant bickering I see on our other forums to me is just downright ego game bullshit; and it's nice that it doesn't enter this forum often. Everybody loves food right!
But hey, let's spruce things up a bit.
I'm gonna try and come up with some stuff that I can do to make this site more active and get more people posting their recipes.
Thanks for your comments.

maybe this is why?

hey all, i think that i might know why this forum isn't as popular as some of the others. . . . please forgive me if i offend.
it seems to me that there are very few recipes on this forum that deal with the unique flavourings of cannabis, and methods of using those flavourings in cooking. mainly, the recipes on this forum are the same recipes that can be found anywhere, with cannabutter used in place of regular butter. or canna-oil, in place of regular oils. you get the picture, it's just about adding cannabis to recipes that are already well-established.
i don't want to knock this forum, though, i hope you all understand.
however, i think that maybe it's time to broaden the horizon here. instead of posting the same old recipes, how about getting into the truly artistic levels of food and drink?
for example, what wine mixes well with which strain? should i use brie with indica, or save it for my sativas? i think these sort of tips would truly help this forum along. . . .
does anyone have any recipes with pot, and it's unique textures and flavours, as the main ingredient, that defines and shapes the meal?
let's talk about more than just how to get high in the kitchen. . . .

Hi Funglewood,
I appreciate your feedback...
I've said it before and I'll say it again; the flavor of cannabis when eaten to me is very undesireable. ( and I don't think I'm alone) I've tried it in hundreds of recipes, both as a seasoning and as a main part of the dish. Thing is, it still tastes shitty. The only way I've truly savoured the taste of cannabis when eaten is fresh off the plant. Taking little bits of bud at a time.
Though these recipes may just seem like something I've gotten from any old place, they are actually quite carefully selected. I experiment with, and take note of recipes where the cannabis flavor isn't at all overwhelming so that you can enjoy the high without having to taste the bud.
And as far as which types go with which cheese or wine; well, I don't drink alcohol for one, and I certainly don't recommend drinking alcohol when eating pot. You can't fully enjoy the cannabis high if you're drinking at the same time.
Also, most people aren't going out looking for indica or sativa specifically to cook with their favorite cheese. Bud's expensive and is really good to smoke; that's a great time to appreciate it's flavours.
Most people I write these recipes for are in a couple of different situations; 1- they've got a bag of good shake from growing 2- got a bag of shake from a friend that's growing 3- wants to experiment eating with what they've got; a lot of times they don't even know what strain it is-let alone indica or sativa.
I think it's wonderful that you have a personal love for the taste of cannabis when eaten, and I encourage you to do any research and post findings in relation to your ideas.
But I think I'll continue to post recipes to give people ideas of how to get baked for a long time, inexpensively, with stuff around the house. Simple, easy.
Also, I don't think this forum is unpopular; in fact I see new postings daily and many people have shared their recipes; for which I am grateful.
I look forward to your cannabis cookery findings...

until it's decrimed, and it's plentiful (read:cheap) you won't see many recipes. most people are tokers, and are unwilling to start experimenting with their precious stash. i am out of smoke and i don't come across it enough. reading this cooking forum (which is also one of the first forums i cheque) makes me eager to get some and chow down!!, i'll let you know what happens, me compadres!!

made some pot cookies just once. made a lot of cookies, so i had to eat a lot of cookies, the pot was distributed among 40 cookies, as opposed to distributing the pot among 10 cookies. me and a friend sat there munching away theydidn't taste bad at all but no reaction. A friend of her's was there and asked to try some, I told her they were pot cookies, she saw me and her friend eating away and just didn't believe me. I insisted and told her again i made them and i know there's pot in them. well she couldn't resist, she tasted one said they tasted fine and didn't believe there was pot in them ( i told her again) after 20 minutes she started getting paranoid, afraid she couldn't drive home, had to call her husband to come and get her. alas i had to leave the house but me and friend still had no reaction what so ever.

Take 2 medium to large sized crackers and put a thick slice of peanut butter on each side. Cover the peanut butter with finely sifted bud. You will not need more than a gram in total. Squish the crackers together and try to make sure every piece of weed is covered with peanut butter. Bake in oven for 15 minutes at 325F. Eat on an empty stomach.
The high is mellow, but it is always mellow when eaten instead of smoked.

I am new to this forum I have to agree. I am on Yahooka.com forums it silly how everyone is bickering on who has the correct info, I know the right way to cure, grow etc. I have 3 cookbooks on the Art & Science of Cooking with Weed. I would think that all of them have been posted though. I have a lot of drinks to be made. Making hash?
