Milk & Flower [Post#: 63674 / re: 62875 ]

Could someone tell me a good hot chocolate recipe ? e.g I boil 3 cups of milk, how much should i put weed or flower to it so it would be effective? :). And should the milk be boiled or just warm it close to boiling stage? And when its best to add the weed/buds to it? thx.

Here's a decadent recipe for Hot Chocolate:

2 oz of heavy cream
6-8 oz of milk
1 stick of cinnamon
1 vanilla bean, split in half length wise
1-2 grams finely chopped cannabis buds (use more if using shake)
2 oz of some excellent dark chocolate, finely chopped.
freshly made whipped cream

Directions:

heat the cream and milk with the cannabis, cinnamon and vanilla bean very slowly for 15-20 minutes. (if you don't have any beans add 1-2 tsp
of vanilla after heating). remove the bean and cinnamon. add the chocolate. mix until fully melted. serve topped with some very dense
fresh wipped cream. serves 1-2 depending on how baked you'd like to get.

cheers!

* A Vegan Hot Chocolate alternative...

1-2 grams finely chopped cannabis buds (ground and browned)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar (or equivalent alternative sweetener)
a dash of cinnamon
10 oz. of rice or almond milk

Directions:

Mix together dry ingredients (including cannabis) with a fork to elimenate lumps. Add a a few tblspn's of milk and stir thoroughly to a paste. Add the rest of the milk and stir until smooth. Warm over very low heat for 20 minutes ,stirring periodically. Top up with boiling water if desired, and stir.

Notes: Be careful if you try to substitute soy milk for the rice or almond milk - some soy milks will curdle.

cheers!

What do you exactly mean by "... very slowly for 15-20minutes" ? Do you mean that I should warm it with very low temp? And is it ok to let it boil..? I want to be sure because all the recipies I have earlier tried havent worked. :).

ps. how many millilitres is 1 oz ? :P

Slowly meaning don't put the heat on high and throw the milk in. Slowly bring it to a boil (over 20 min). Once boiled turn it right down. You don't want the milk to sit there boiling away. Just bring it to boil to get it nice and hot.

I don't know that conversion off the top of my head, I'll check for you.
