How could anyone lock up such an obviously intellegent and peaceful chap?? His only "crime" was trying to keep his fellow Canadians alive with the beautiful healing herb that mother nature has given us.
btw, I loved seeing that stained glass window. It really brings back some great memories of my visit to Vansterdam last year. I am long overdue for another visit. Peace and Love.

That's the real crime; the behavior of the police and those in power who legislate immoral, unjust police powers, under the pretext of "fighting drugs", and by politically controlling the legitimate monopoly of force and(ab)use police power against a targeted, definable group of people who share a common commodity and interest in cannabis. That is the real crime. Criminalizing people unjustly is a crime against humanity.
The Nazi's were eventually tried and convicted for their crimes. The crimes commited against cannabis users won't go unpunished by the God of Truth. I consider myself a religious person. I believe sort of like Plato. There is this Divine sense of TRUTH, that is not only figuratively "alive" but literally has a Soul, a Beingness, a Personhood, like a Ghostly, all seeing Spirit perhaps, called the Holy Spirit, by Christians and other names by other faiths, the anthropomorphic identification of Divine Wisdom, as the Spirit of Life itself, found in Nature and all living systems.
Maybe that sounds tacky, wierd and spooky but history does seem to repeat itself often and does have a kind of driving force and direction, that does seem to suggest a guiding intelligence and active hand. Karma always catches up with those beastial governments that commit crimes willfully and with harmful intent. It's a natural law as sure as the laws in nature that govern electromagnitism imo.
Prohibition is wrong; plain and simple. It's of the same mentality and criminological design (a flawed artifact of the Punishment Culture of past authoritarian systems?) as was stoning a hooker to death for the alleged crime of adultery, during the harsh Biblical times of the Patriarchs. It was barbaric if not insane, cruel and definitely unjust.
