Thank you Marijuana man for being such a sound and reasonable voice.... I love the fact that you are constantly tokin' the kind and not sounding like a stereotypical head.
As a US citizen I am apalled that those MP's were meeting with US agents in such a way.... however I would not be surprised if these individuals were courted by the US for a long time. I think that this is a wonderfull oportunity for Canadians to demonstrate their sovereignty and show the US that Canada is not an assemblage of unrepresented US territories [which is how the US congress seems to act sometimes]. I think the border issue is a straw man and there is no way this will damage the economic ties between USA and Canada. It is unfortunate that the current administration of the US is looking at this with the same paranoia and "domino effect" mentality that drew us into major conflicts like Korea and Vietnam and led to the proliferation of WMD's leaving the world in economic and environmental peril notwithstanding the sad state of the peoples of Eastern Europe and southeast Asia. I don't know where the drug war is going. I guess to continue with this cold war analogy, Is Paul Martin going to be Canada's Diem? I am sorry to rant like this.... but I am a bit hazed right now and I tend to get this way. I am sure I am going to come back here in a couple of days and go WTF!?!

Thank you, Marijuana Man. Interesting stories. I really think this whole "closing down the border" threat is just a bluff. Even if a few politians did manage to have a material impact on the border it would effect us just as bad as Canada. They would be toast in the next election. My advice to the Canadian gov't is to call their bluff. Respect the rights of all Canadians by immediately getting out of the cannabis prohibition business. discuss this show in the CC forums >
