Re: Marc Emery's Prison B Log Day 23
eco2man,
Mon Sep 13 10:14:09 2004 Marc is great when he is pissed off. I read the transcript. I like this quote:
Quote:
Now I understand what this obsession of mine with cleaning and disinfecting is about, because this nation is filthy and needs to be cleansed at every level, from the toilets in this jail to the Premier of BC, to the Solicitor General, the voting public, the Vancouver Police Department (and for that matter, the Saskatoon Police Department), and the Prime Minister. They are all knee-deep in their immoral slime, and they're trying to drag this nation down with them. Ahh, only 39 days until my release.

Countrycide,
Fri Sep 10 18:30:08 2004 As a fellow vegetarian, let me just say YES!!! GREAT NEWS!!! Glad Marc finally got his denta-sticks too. Nice to hear Marc is in good spirits.
The facts about Coleman, Klein, White, Campbell, and Robinson are true. But the high road is never easy. Name calling achieves nothing. None of us are perfect, and we all have a few skeletons. Feasible, lasting solutions will involve acceptance. True the system is beyond disgusting, but nonetheless that's the face of the enemy for the next couple decades at least. It's much easier to compromise an enemy you know than an enemy you don't know.
Engaging in a "who's-more-splenetic?" contest with the kings of rancor can't be pleasant or fruitful. You can't shame a shameless person into action. Those men are impervious to logic and decency. They only understand one thing. Tactics. Until you actually have their king in check, they consider you a non-voice.
Karl Rove has used the strategy of "attack from your weak point to their strong point" with the George W. Bush machine since before day one. Using that technique they managed to keep one of the world's most inept leaders in office for years and have created an entirely new world order which folds neatly into their wallets, right under our noses. Attacking from weak to strong. Tactics.
For example, everyone knows Randy White is an ex-drunk with all the according history, no big deal nowadays given the prevalence of alchoholism amongst their friends/families. But if you could assemble a more diverse list of corroborated "dirt" on him, and then carefully "time release" that in the local media during a strategic period that would permanently change the way his supporters view him. At least, that's what Ralph Klein would do to Randy White if he needed to get rid of him.
Also good to facilitate any existing natural enemies. The key point being to divide the existing support and dilute the power. More value in converting 1 supporter than in rallying 100 detractors.
