Newshawks: Police uncover marijuana plantation in Phoenix
A father in his 40s and his son, in his 20s were taken into custody and are now facing at least three felony counts each. Officers say that the marijuana was grown in pots in a shed on the side of a house near 42nd Street and Thunderbird Road. Hi-tech equipment including lights and fans, and about 200 marijuana plants worth about $100,000 were found inside the shed. |

Newshawks: David Crosby arrested on marijuana, gun charges
NEW YORK — Musician David Crosby was arrested on marijuana and gun possession charges early Saturday at a Times Square hotel, police said.
Crosby, 62, a two-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, had checked out of the hotel but left a piece of luggage behind, police said.
A hotel worker found the bag and went through it looking for identification. The worker called police after finding marijuana, a .45-calibre handgun and two knives, authorities said. |
